Care Coordinator / FCS – Homecare


Up to £24,000 plus great package


An opportunity has arisen to join my client's team in their Lewisham branch. They are looking for a committed and motivated leader to join an existing team of 5-6 people,

You will have some previous experience in the care sector, preferably as a Coordinator or Supervisor and ideally, be qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.

Reporting to the Registered Manager, your role will be split between helping the lead Coordinator run the roster and assisting the Field care supervisor with the management of the care workers.

Main duties:

  • Assessing how to best accommodate new customers
  • Re-arranging the schedules of existing customers wanting to make changes
  • Ensuring work is distributed evenly and carers have enough hours
  • Keeping carers’ travel distances down to a reasonable level and supporting the Supervisory team with field-based supervisions of care staff to ensure that:
    • Care is being delivered to a high standard, in accordance with best practice guidelines and Company policies and procedures
    • Any requests/changes in need are reported back to the office
    • Carers are arriving on time, in the correct uniform and with the appropriate PPE
    • Customers are safe and happy with the service they receive
    • Carers feel well-supported
    • Any concerns, complaints or identified training needs are reported back to the office


This role will not involve assessing new customer needs, conducting risk assessments or writing care plans, though a basic understanding of the key considerations will be important.

This is a part-office and part-field-based role. Working hours will be Mon-Fri 08:30 – 17:00. You will also be required to participate in the out of hours’ rota which operates 7 days per week.
