Location: Florida 

Salary: $110K - $120K & Bonus 

Our client, a market leading provider of EV infrastructure on EV projects across the US, EU and UK are on the market to expand their team by bringing onboard a Senior Field Service Engineer. This company has been established for over ten years operating within the commercial space offering installation and maintenance solutions on EV charge point projects.  

Our client develops intelligent software for homes and commercial projects at their HQ in Carolina. They operate in 10 countries and have sold chargers in over 30 different countries around the world. As a young and ambitious company, they work with some of the largest brands in the world.  

The Role 

They require an experienced qualified Technician/Engineer with exposure to the EV industry to provide high-level technical support, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting along with repairing sophisticated equipment and systems remotely and at customer sites. You will have the chance to work with some incredible engineers supporting some of the largest operators in the world. Delivering vision and accountability of our performance. This role will closely interact with the wider teams in the delivery and service business unit. In addition, you will actively participate with the wide business. 

Duties 

  • Oversee the setup and commissioning of equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with OEM technical specifications and safety standards. 

  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of equipment. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues promptly to minimize downtime. 

  • Provide expert-level technical assistance for internal staff and customers, addressing inquiries and offering solutions to complex problems. 

  • Resolving incidents, requests, problems and identifying trends with support. 

  • Collaborate with OEMs on train the trainer programs for internal and third-party technicians. 

  • Produce and maintain technical processes, training documentation, and knowledge base articles for our systems. 

  • Installation and maintenance on EV charge points. 

  • Ensure KPIs are met, service level agreements and operational level agreements are achieved. 

  • Complete out of hours activities, such as upgrades, testing, maintenance, break-fix incident. 

  • Ability to analyse and problem solve. 

Essential Requirements 

  • Highly technical with hands-on experience with troubleshooting issues and resolving problems. 

  • Qualified Electrician. 

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience within technical support or managed services. 

  • Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation, able to minimise risk through developing and endorsing safe operating 

  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. 

  • Technical experience with electrical installations and products or services related to electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, or related energy fields.
