The Company

My client is a rapidly growing foodservice wholesaler business within the UK with big growth plans. They supply Food, Drink, Cleaning & Disposables range into Foodservice End Users. We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to cover the Southampton region.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for:

  • 75% of your role will be managing, maintaining and developing existing accounts in and around Bournemouth
  • 15% of your role will be focussed on new business development
  • Develop business with chefs and buying teams who demand first quality products for their discerning customers
  • Demonstrate a professional, enthusiastic approach with a personal stake in maintaining integrity in all of your business dealings


The Candidate

  • Experience of selling into HORECA essential
  • B to B Food Sales experience essential
  • Good solid ‘farmer’ with a ‘hunting mentality’
  • A disciplined self-starter with the ability to add value to the business through building and maintaining relationships
  • Proactive in your approach with plenty of resilience
  • Ability to work efficiently and enthusiastically both within a team and independently – good team player
  • All candidates must have a genuine passion for the industry – you must be a foodie and have the ability to relate to Chefs
  • You will live within a commutable distance to Southampton
