Business Development Manager

The Company

My client is a commercial catering equipment distributor also specialising in kitchen design and installation. The company is currently going through some very exciting times and are growing aggressively year on year, hence the reason we are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager, ideally based north of London and the Home Counties.

The Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Selling whole Kitchens into predominantly the Hospitality & Catering sector
  • 100% of your role will be focusing on New Business Development
  • You will be targeted on turnover and profitability
  • Develop and manage a strong and growing forward sale pipeline
  • Achieve first year of sales of £800,000 rising to £1m in the second

The Candidate:

  • A successful BDM with plenty of experience – ideally selling commercial kitchens/catering equipment into the Hospitality & Catering sector
  • Demonstrable experience of being able to work independently
  • The ability to meet short deadlines and specific targets
  • A good, all round sense of business knowledge
  • Working constructively with demanding customers
  • Some catering and hospitality experience
  • Your strength will lie in relationship building
  • You must have a proven track record in Sales
  • You must be able to communicate at all levels and have strong negotiation skills with the ability to ‘close the deal’
  • You will be ambitious, professional, honest and hard working
  • You must work well under pressure and be willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • You will ideally live North of London and the Home Counties – this is a National role
