Customer Support Engineer
The Recruitment Crowd have recently partnered with a market-leading Packaging client! We are recruiting for a permanent Customer Support Engineer to cover the South of England/London.

The Role
- To successfully service, install and commission machines at customer sites in the UK and abroad, as directed.
- Respond to and attend breakdown calls such that issues are resolved professionally and efficiently.
- Develop positive customer relationships to ensure excellent levels of customer satisfaction are achieved for both service and support and all internal targets met.
- Proactively seeking customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for bag seal machines and tape sales growth.
- Work closely with Service Team Manager and team members to meet all customer demands through knowledge and skills sharing.
- Deliver on-site training and offer advice and guidance to increase customer ability to respond to minor issues more effectively, resulting in fewer calls being raised.
- Provide regular feedback to Service Team Manager, Customer Support Coordinator and other team members, to ensure all documentation including environment, health and safety comply with the company standards at all times. This includes providing accurate and timely service reports on all jobs.
- Ensure excellent communications within the team and with other departments to drive productivity, innovation and standards of excellence.
The Candidate
- Clean UK driving license
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer
- Ability to work away from home on a regular basis and travel in the UK and abroad
- Excellent knowledge of engineering design and machine specification and standards
- Flexible as may be required to answer out of hours calls or work weekends occasionally
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Sets and achieves high professional standards for self and others
- Self-motivated and adaptable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Understanding of Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management policies and systems
