Demand Planner
TRC is looking for a strong Demand Planner for a global manufacturer and retailer based in the North East.
This is a dynamic company going through a strong period of significant growth and is looking for agile people to join their team in Cramlington.
- Specific Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the Sales and Demand Planning, including forecast and demand planning process across the business units, contributing to the S&OP process and ensuring calendar events are to schedule.
- Reviewing monthly demand forecast accuracy and responding to critical variances by updating forecasts and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Establishing Forecasting reports necessary to support the monthly Demand Planning activities.
- Managing purchase orders – determining optimal supply requirements through the SAP MRP system, placing timely, lot-sized purchase orders on vendors, tracking order supply through to receipt and maintaining accurate dates in SAP.
- Establishing and maintaining positive vendor relationships.
- Ensuring the integrity of the SAP material master data system is well maintained – including new product setup, product change management and obsolescence phase-out.
- Monitoring national inventory levels and purchase expenditures within budget.
- Supporting the wider Supply Chain team in the successful execution of their duties.
Education and Experience:
- At least 2-3 years previous experience in a similar Demand Planning role.
- Recently completed or completing an operations qualification and looking to take the next step in their Planning career.
- Sound analytical and problem resolution skills to evaluate supply issues and implement corrective actions.
- High attention to detail and self-drive to optimise product supply and deliver supply chain cost efficiencies.
- Strong data processing / SKU maintenance / Procurement and Inventory administration skills (SAP MRP desirable).
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks and prioritise the outcomes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to convey information clearly and develop good working relationships.
