Despatch Planner

Role overview: Our client is the leading composite door and PVCu panel manufacturer supplying trade customers nationwide. They are now recruiting for a Despatch Administrator/Planner to join their expanding team.

Reports to: Transport Manager

Scope of the role:  To provide accurate and timely administrative support to a busy Despatch department, liaising with both internal and external customers on a daily basis.

Key duties of the role: 
• Supporting Transport Manager
• Assisting with route planning
• Liaising with internal and external customers in a professional manner on matters such as customer collections, shortages and delivery times
• Supporting the customer care department with shipment of courier items
• Arranging couriers
• Ensuring all PODs are collated
• Updating management information and producing reports such as weekly customer delivery schedule & information required for the morning meeting
• Liaison with finance on invoicing queries
• Providing general administrative support as required e,g stationery, filing
• Providing Invoicing information to Finance dept as and when required
• To cross train on colleagues roles to provide holiday cover

Key Skills and Experience required: 
• Previous administrative experience, ideally in a warehouse or logistics environment
• IT literate, particularly in Excel
• Excellent communication skills with a professional approach at all times
• Demonstrates an organised and methodical approach
• Accurate with attention to detail
• Team player with a flexible approach
