Head of Marketing/Marketing Manager

The Company:

Our client is seeking a Head of Marketing who’ll lead all marketing activities from online and offline to inbound and outbound with the aim of attracting new customers. The Head of Marketing will work with the Board of Directors and Sales to develop, implement, track and optimise the marketing strategy to improve sales and brand awareness.

Based at the Global Headquarters in Rotherham, the Head of Marketing responsibilities include developing plans to help establish the brand, allocating resources to different projects and setting short-term and long-term department goals. If you’re a skilled Marketing strategist, able to inspire your team members, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will run the Marketing department in ways that promote higher profitability and competitiveness.


The Role:

  • You will be a proactive, enthusiastic, results-driven Head of Marketing, with a minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, creating demand generation campaigns across Sales and automated customer onboarding programmes.
  • Working closely with the Board of Directors, Marketing and Sales teams you will help ensure we deliver exceptional customer experiences that deliver efficient customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • You’ll also lead and drive the continued modernisation of the marketing function, including the roadmap of the Market to the marketing automation platform and delivery of a new suite of marketing tools to deliver growth and improve the performance and efficiency of the marketing capabilities.
  • Actively devise the company’s marketing strategy.
  • Communicate between the Board of Directors, Sales and the Marketing Department.
  • Craft strategies for all aspects of the Marketing teams, including Digital, Advertising, Communications and Creative.
  • Responsibility for planning and budgetary control.
  • Explore the utilisation of market-leading, multi-channel communication developments and technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share. Also, monitor competition.
  • Coordinate sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness.
  • Anticipate future demands of the marketing department and identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Formulate action plans where necessary.
  • Setting, monitoring and reporting on the team goals and business objectives.
  • Working with the Sales team to create and deliver the marketing strategy.
  • Liaise with press and external advertisers.
  • Work with the Marketing team to produce exciting and engaging content.
  • Management of the Marketing team.


The Candidate:

  • Strong marketing mind with the ability to communicate value to the intended audience.
  • Experience across the marketing mix including CRM, advertising, online and offline techniques and media.
  • Effective commercial management including budgets, contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good time management and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Familiarity with SEO-driven keyword research
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to create copy that’s persuasive and compelling.
  • Experience of public relations
  • An understanding of current Digital Marketing concepts, strategy and best practices.
  • Strong IT Skills.
  • Strong ability to persuade through copy and create a compelling story
  • Track record in successful, inspirational team leadership and development.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Marketing.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ leadership and management experience.
  • PR and Media relations experience.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving constantly changing environment.
