Web & Digital Executive

The Company: Our client is a leading transport provider providing commercial and public sector transport contracts across the UK.

Our client are looking to recruit a Web and Digital Executive to work across a variety of teams, projects and ‘’business as usual activities”, with a particular focus on increasing user satisfaction, customer acquisition and revenue of our customer web sites. You will work alongside the Website Manager, Business Analysts and wider Divisional Commercial Team, to support stakeholders with digital content and website technical development. We need you as our Web and Digital Executive to support the development of our web sites, to ensure delivery of the Commercial & Retail objectives, through a mixture of projects and initiatives.

Our client have ambitious recovery & growth plans and we are expanding our customer digital team, to drive the next stage of our development. A clear mission to rebuild and grow a customer base and a great digital proposition, which removes the barriers to public transport, will be at the heart of that.

The Role:

  • Supporting website content and functionality – technical tasks relating to the building and editing of web content in a content management system Managing website change requests
  • Working with stakeholders to resolve issues with the CMS/HTML and data
  • Working with our marketing teams to generate, maintain and enhance content.
  • Supporting departments in keeping their information up-to-date on the websites
  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting on key performance indicators
  • Working with our external agencies to ensure on-site content adheres to brand guidelines
  • Assisting with the rollout of new digital campaigns
  • Working with our design and development partners on website improvement projects
  • Maintaining knowledge of market trends, competitor activity and customer insights, to inform content and development

The Candidate

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in similar role
  • Understanding of role of web sites in attracting new customers and driving revenue
  • Experience of web-content best practices and a demonstrable knowledge of HTML are essential, as is an understanding of CSS and web-design principles
  • Demonstrable experience using a content management system
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and
    nurture effective, collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • A team player with great interpersonal skills, who is positive, proactive and not afraid to ask questions
  • Knowledge of SEO practices and experience in successfully optimising content
  • Exposure to key areas of Digital Marketing
  • Competent with analytics and the confidence to interpret data and
    advise stakeholders on digital approaches
  • Photoshop experience creating web graphics
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    (JavaScript knowledge would also be an advantage)
  • Ability to manage own workload whilst working well under pressure and to tight deadlines
